"No potter formed in the last century is more likely to be of future interest to collectors... than the House of Beswick."
Pottery Gazette 1961
Beswick pottery's range of collectable figurines have charmed collectors for years, and their figures have a strong collector following in the UK and abroad. And they will continue to do so.
The John Beswick factory was founded in 1894 to produce ornamental jugs, vases and other decorative fancies. By the 1940s the Beswick artists had established a reputation for quality animal modelling.
Being one of the finest ranges available, Beswick Pottery have achieved remarkable success with highly specialised lines. Perhaps best known for the enchanting Beatrix Potter figurines and the Beswick horse. They did not stop there however and went on to produce exquisite life-like models such as birds, farm animals, Cats, dogs, cattle, Fish, Wildlife.
